Moxibustion is a traditional Chinese medicine technique that combines acupuncture with the burning of moxa, a dried mugwort herb. Moxibustion spray therapy involves spraying the herbal extracts of mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris) on or near specific acupuncture points on the body, followed by therapeutic heat. Unlike traditional moxibustion, moxa spray does not produce smoke, making it a more comfortable option for both practitioners and patients. It is often used as a complementary treatment alongside acupuncture to enhance overall therapeutic effects.
